Learning to ice skate at a young age has many benefits. It challenges a child’s coordination, stamina, strength, flexibility and focus. It is a skill he or she will carry through life. What makes this learning process even more valuable is that it teaches learning skills which can be applied to all other learning endeavors as children mature. The Martha’s Vineyard Arena supports learning programs for young children, and sponsors, with the Martha’s Vineyard Y, summer camps for disadvantaged kids. We donated skating guide safety equipment for the Arena to support their youth programs.
