Environmental Learning & Stewardship
Why Environmental Learning & Stewardship?

“Only within the moment of time represented by the present century has one species — man — acquired significant power to alter the nature of his world.”

Rachel Carson wrote these words over 50 years ago. We definitely have changed our natural world dramatically since that time, but not for the better.  We hope that it is not too late to save our planet as a place for plants, animals and humans to coexist and thrive. We support not only tangible efforts to protect our environment, but also, most importantly, initiatives which engage our children in environmental learning and instill in them a sense of  stewardship for our natural world.
